Vendors: list your rewards where members already gather

SwomiBuzz will give businesses of any size a place in one shared rewards marketplace. You list rewards on the published ladder, and members claim them with the same points they use everywhere else on SwomiBuzz.

Vendor sign-up: not open yet

Nothing on this page is an offer to vendors, and there is nothing to apply for. When vendor sign-up opens, SwomiBuzz's vendor terms will set out what listing involves.

Why a shared marketplace

Most small businesses don't run a loyalty programme. In SumUp's survey of 617 micro and small business owners in the United States, 73.2% had no formal programme, and the most common reason was the belief that their customer base was "too small to justify a program".[1]

On SwomiBuzz a vendor doesn't need a programme, points or an app of its own. The members, the balance and the community are already there, and a reward from a corner bakery sits on the same ladder as one from a national chain.

How listing will work

  1. Create a vendor profile

Who you are, what you make or do, where you are, and the story behind it. Members follow vendors they like.

  2. Put rewards on the ladder

Pick a rung for each reward. Prices are always in points from the published ladder; no vendor sets its own rate.

  3. Set the quantity and the dates

How many, and when the offer ends. Drops are small and capped, so a reward stays something you can afford to give.

  4. Members claim in one tap

The member gets a code or pass at once. You see the claim and honour it like any order.

  5. Hear from members

Reviews, picks and questions arrive on your profile, each one saying when the member claimed with points.

The listing standard

Every reward on SwomiBuzz meets the same plain rules, whoever lists it.

  • Points only. A reward shows its price in points from the ladder, and never a price in money.
  • No catch behind "free". Nothing is called free when the member has to give something more for it. EU law treats that as an unfair practice in all circumstances.[2]
  • Real quantities. "Only 12 left" appears only when there are 12 left.
  • No rewards for good ratings. No reward, discount or extra is tied to what a review says.[3]
  • Plain conditions. Anything a member needs to know to use the reward is on the card, not in small print after the claim.

Swomi's Privacy Policy (version 1.9, §10) also says what Swomi may pass to SwomiBuzz for its listing standard: a business’s rating, “where the rating is shown publicly on the business’s page, and otherwise only with the business’s agreement”.

Business services from other vendors

Some vendors will offer what other businesses need: printing, bookkeeping, scheduling, shipping. Members who run something of their own can claim these with their points, the same way as any other reward.
