Need an excuse for “not” being a friend’s party? This guy has figured it out for you. Little did this Tweeter know, they’re also channeling the original Halloween partyers… the Celts 2,000 years ago!
Except Celts called Halloween by its original name (because, you know...they were the first ones to make it up), Samhain.
On Samhain, the Celts believed the boundary between the living and dead realms blurred, causing ghosts of the dead to return to Earth.
Maybe no one saw @thatUPSdude because he was slip and sliding between the Celtic’s living and dead realms.
Paranormal eBay Painting
Think your safe from Halloween spookiness if you stay home on your laptop this Hallow’s Eve? Wrong! Paranormal hauntings leak into the digital world too.
“The Hands Resist Him” is an infamously haunted painting also known as “The Paranormal eBay Painting.”
Rumor has it a Californian couple found the painting in an old brewery. They listed the painting on eBay claiming that characters in the painting sometimes moved or escaped the boundaries of the painting itself. The painting eventually sold for $1,025 because apparently people like to decorate with creepy stuff.
Back to reality, the artist Bill Stoneham painted “The Hands Resist Him.” He describes how the imagery is not so much haunted, but dark symbolism about life, childhood, and memories.
Let’s Talk Haunted Places And Spaces
A sneaky paranormal list would not be complete without name dropping some haunted spaces and places.
Eastern State Penitentiary is a former prison in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Notable criminals like Wille Sutton and Al Capone have been imprisoned here. The prison is still open to the public, so you can take a tour… if you dare!
Gettysburg Battlefield located in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania (there’s that Pennsylvania, again) is where the infamous Battle of Gettysburg took place. Rumored to be one of the most haunted places in the US, there has been a gross amount of hauntings, paranormal activities, ghostly apparitions, and strange phenomenon.
