News of 5G networks has been on the horizon for a while now. And for good reason. 5G is the most obvious technology to follow for 2019 because 5G is a necessary technology. Without it, technologies such as autonomous vehicles, drones, the Internet of Things, and supercomputers couldn’t exist.
5G technology will improve processing speeds by more than ten times and can handle 1,000 times more traffic than what exists now.
In the US, Verizon offers Motorola phones that access 5G through snap-on modules. AT&T committed to offering a Samsung phone with built-in 5G in the second half of 2019.
