Want to affiliate market but feel intimidated by creating and maintaining a website? Have no fear. Website-free options are here! Here is your guide to affiliate marketing with no websites.
Because you’re playing on other’s platforms, there are some general rules that apply across the board.
1. Don’t spam. Pretty self-explanatory.
2. 80-20 rule. For every 2 affiliate link posts, post 8 pieces of content to provide real value to people.
3. Know the rules. Check out the platform’s terms and conditions before proceeding.
Affiliate Friendly Platforms
- Youtube. As the second largest search engine, your affiliate links can paired with videos you upload. How-to, review, and fun videos that relate to your affiliate products will provide the most value to your audience (which means higher conversions… woohoo!).
- Pinterest. There’s a huge following for you if your niche is “Pinterest friendly.” As a plus, you can curate content through repinning so it’s not always a constant race to create new content.
- Facebook. Everyone and their dog is on Facebook. What better place to advertise affiliate links. With a dedicate Facebook page and some paid ads, you are on your way to direct traffic to your promotions.
Website Free Options
- Quora. This question-and-answer site demands high quality, valuable content. But, if done tactfully, you can gain a lot of niche authority by providing helpful answers. They are strict about posting advertisements in answers to keep the content’s quality high. So best to redirect your Quora audience to your Facebook page.
- Hubpages. While we have no direct experience with Hubpages, it is a potential channel for your affiliate marketing. As always, check their terms and conditions to not get flagged.
Let’s Get Creative
- eBook. Here’s a cool idea. Write an eBook and include affiliate links throughout the pages. Contact other bloggers and ask if they want to use your eBook as a freebie. It’s a win-win. You get your affiliate links promoted and the blogger gets a free freebie to offer their audience.
- Forums/ Blogs. Whether you join forum conversations or add blog comments, this is another unique way to affiliate market. Tread with extra caution as no one wants to be “that guy” who only spams affiliate offers without contributing valuable content.
Word Up:
You may not need a website to affiliate market, but an online presence is a must. Here are just a few ways you can establish that online presence. No website needed.
