How have you been spreading kindness online?
The pen is mightier than the sword. Yes, most of us are familiar of how words have more power than physical force. While the sword can force someone to do something, words can persuade people to want to do things. Persuasion is better than force, as they say.
Throughout history we have seen great leaders of countries, movements, and companies project their voices to the people to affect great change. As we have written about before, change your mindset and you can change your world any way you want. Change an entire group of people’s mindsets and that’s what you call a movement. This change can build people up and inspire them to do good in the world. On the other hand, words have been known to incite negative actions, wars, or worse.
Your Words Have Worth
But did you know your words now have just as much influence as the greatest leaders of the world? Thanks to the internet, traditional hierarchies have folded in on themselves. While not entirely eradicated, the loosening of authoritative gatekeepers has given more people than ever before the chance to have their voices heard. Your voice has an equal amount of reach today that television networks or radio stations only once had.
Your Voice Is Your Content
And what does your voice online look like? Just update your status on social media, release a video of yourself, or simply write a text. Online, your voice IS your content.
Knowing this, have you ever reflected on the effect your words has around you?
