It’s almost counter-intuitive that something so obvious needs to even be stated. But with our digital lifestyles, it’s unfortunately way too easy to cancel plans last minute with text, ignore a call, or have someone get lost in your social media feed. It can be uncomfortable to be open and vulnerable to someone you barely know, but to move into the land of love and friendships, just get over that small hill of social anxiety first.
A close connection isn’t something that randomly happens in a few hours. Good things take time and you simply need time to get to know each other better, create good memories together, and have fun. We tend to become closer to people we spend the most time around. Social media may be good for light-hearted touching base, but meeting up in real life is the backbone of friendship.
