Unlimited content creates a future of limitless possibilities.

We already live in the age of peak content. So with all the unlimited amounts of Content online, what will the Future look like?

More Personalization

Personalization uses predictive technology combined with user data to tailor a unique selection or experience for the user. We’ll be more reliant on personalization systems to give us a pre-sorted selection. We won’t have the time or the understanding to go through the internet’s infinite and vast library of Content.

What does a fully personalized world look like? We can get a glimpse of that with Coca-Cola’s “Share A Coke” campaign where the country’s most popular names were printed on Coke bottles. It’s a fun, delightful surprise to see your name on a Coke bottle. Expect to see a lot more things with your name on it in the future. And that’s just the beginning.

Digital Assistants Will Be A Huge Time Saver

Digital assistants will be personalization’s best friend. Digital assistants will learn our habits, likes, and preferences to scour the world wide web and bring us what we like. In turn, that will make digital assistants our best friend. Plus, digital assistants are learning conversational-style language. So you can just talk to your assistant normally, and bam! You have several different suggestions for speciality hand-made ice cream all within a 10-mile radius.

Even if you don’t have a fancy Amazon Echo or Google Assistant, you can catch a glimpse of personalization if you use Netflix. Netflix is able to personalize recommended moves and shows through their specialized algorithms.

More Online Privacy

With more content, we see it as a trend that online privacy is on the up-rise. Just this year, we’ve seen the entire European Union pass the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). California also passed the California Consumer Privacy Act this year as well. We may see a time where people are masters of their own online content. Imagine that, a future exists where people will be free to trade or sell their online content to people and companies. At Swomi, we believe everyone deserves to receive the value of their online content.

Word Up:

With unlimited amounts of content comes a few new perks like increased personalization, handy digital assistants, and more online privacy. Really, these new developments will be necessary to survive and thrive in a digital, content-saturated world.
